What happened
The New Zealand Government announced multiple world-class events including the Snow League World Challenge at Cardrona in September, Post Malone's concert at Mt Smart on 21 October, and others, supported through a $40 million Events Attraction Package as part of a $70 million Major Events and Tourism package announced in September 2025.
